Race Night Ferries...

Just a little reminder about race night ferries.

The ferry drivers are asked, as a matter of policy, to run to the far end of the moorings and collect ON THE WAY BACK. This way crews are collected in order of readiness rather than proximity to the club house.

It is not unheard of on a busy race night for boats at the far end of the moorings to wait well over an hour for a ferry as boats closer to the club house grab them on their way out.

The drivers do their best to get everybody ashore as quickly as possible yet some drivers have reported crews closer to the club house becoming abusive as the ferry passes them by. We have already lost one driver because of this - and to those responsible I simply ask you what makes you think your time is any more valuable than those with moorings further away???
